Café Bustelo Pop-up Café

Café Bustelo (parent company: The J.M. Smucker Company) was booming at retail, but was eager to expand their business to connect with their target consumer in a more authentic way. We designed, developed, produced, and executed a retail-driven, fully functional brick-and-mortar café outfitted from a shipping container, in order to test a go-to market strategy - first launching in Houston (March-May 2019) and moving to Philadelphia (August-November 2019).

The café, over the span of 6 months and two cities, generated over $250,000 of revenue while our baristas hand-made over 40,000 specialty coffee drinks and served over 26,000 guests. The campaign was recently awarded Bronze in Chief Marketer's Pro Awards for Best Local or Regional Campaign.

MY ROLES:

Client & account co-lead

Logistics & strategy co-lead

On site co-lead

Creative co-lead

Staffing lead

Analytics & reporting lead

Prior to launch but also live on site, I also helped with overall café logistics, including café install and breakdown, staff training, testing equipment, & working with local trade for utility hookups and city officials for zoning & permitting. After each market, I was responsible for developing a comprehensive recap, analyzing sales and menu data.
